A popular race held every June in Tomisato City, Chiba, the top watermelon-producing area in Japan. Famous for eating watermelon at aid stations while running. Race through scenic watermelon fields in 7km and 10km distances. Supports personal cup hydration.

Held rain or shine. Entry via Sports Entry (online). First-come, first-served. Bib numbers and timing chips are mailed in advance (early June); a re-issue fee (1,000 yen) applies if forgotten on race day.
