The course follows the increasingly popular Fujiyoshida Trail. This historic trail has been used by many ascetic practitioners to climb Mount Fuji since the Heian period. It is said to have been bustling with numerous teahouses lining the path during the Edo period. In recent years, foreign hikers have been sharing the trail’s appeal, and its popularity is on the rise among Japanese people as well. The feeling of walking along this trail through continuous woodlands is truly exceptional. Course
⚠️ Four aid stations are set up along the course (before the start, and at approx. 3.7km, 7.4km, and 9.5km), with salt tablets and yokan also offered at the 7.4km and 9.5km stations. Portable toilets are located at approx. 3.7km (Naka-no-chaya, 3 units), 7.4km (Umagaeshi, 3 units), and 9.5km (3rd station, 1 unit). There are no kilometer markers on the course. From the finish (Yoshida Trail 5th station) it is about a 2.4km walk to the shuttle bus pickup point at the Fuji Subaru Line 5th station. Only a web-based finisher certificate is available — no paper certificate is distributed on the day or mailed later. Runners requiring a pacer/companion cannot participate due to narrow, steep terrain on the trail.
