The event is held with the aim of allowing ultramarathon enthusiasts from all over Japan to experience the many "treasures of the island" that Iki City boasts, such as its history, culture, nature, power spots, and gourmet food, and to widely promote the charm of Iki City. It also aims to foster new stories of exchange through the hospitality of the citizens and contribute to the regional development of Iki City.
